Public hearing to be held on Alliant Energy rate increase

DES MOINES (The Hawk Eye)— The Hawk Eye reports that the Iowa Utilities Board will hold a public hearing on Alliant Energy electric rate case next week at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines.

The three-day meeting was moved to the fairgrounds to provide a larger space to conduct the public hearing.

The hearing will begin at 9 a.m. Monday and resume at 8 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday on the second-floor conference center of the Varied Industries Building at the fairgrounds at 3000 E. Grand Ave.

The move follows the IUB’s prehearing conference held Sept. 27 at which time the hearing logistics were discussed.
