Lee County Narcotics Task Force has Appointed New Commander

Montrose, Ia- The control board of the Lee County Narcotics Task Force has appointed a member of the Lee County Sherriff’s Office as their new Commander.

As of Thursday Commander Chad Donaldson will serve as commander, taking command from the recently retired Jay Whitaker, the Assistant police chief of Keokuk Police Department.

Donaldson has served Lee County since 2002 with the Sherriff’s Department as a patrolman, a Narcotics Task Force Investigator and as a lead detective of the Sherriff’s Criminal Investigations Division.  He has also served as a D.A.R.E. instructor for several schools in the Lee County Area and has been nominated for the prestigious Kip Hayward Law Enforcement Award.
