Fort Madison, Ia (WGEM)- Fire crews in Fort Madison were called to a mobile home fire at the Levi Trailer Park Monday night.
Crews say the call came in around 7:30 p.m. The occupants were able to get out safely.
Firefighters say the fire started in the bedroom.
Firefighters say they were able to save some of the occupant’s items, such as their billfolds and other small things, but nothing else could be saved.
The mobile home is a total loss. Fire officials say they do not believe the home had working smoke detectors.
The scene was clear as of 9 p.m.
