Two Arrested in Keokuk

Keokuk, Ia-  On Monday at approximately 2:30 am Hamilton Police officers were sent to the area of the 400 blocks of the main street, for the initial report of a robbery.  Officers were advised that the suspects, who were identified by the victim as 18-year-old Tristian A. Cain of Warsaw Illinois, 20-year-old Hunter E. Justice of Liberty Il fled in a vehicle after allegedly entering the victim’s home.

Officers responded immediately and located a matching vehicle near the intersection of US Highway 36 and Main Street.  The vehicle then ran a stop sign at high speed as it continued to flee towards Iowa with police in pursuit.  The vehicle crashed into the lane dividing barrier on the Iowa side of the bridge.

The occupants of the vehicle were Identified as Cain and Justice, along with 18-year-old Seth R. Shoup of Keokuk, and a juvenile female.

Keokuk Police are charging Cain with failure to maintain control and possession of alcohol by a minor,  while Justice was arrested on an outstanding warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia.  The juvenile female was treated for minor injuries and released, while Shoup was released from the scene.  More Charges are pending for the two in Illinois.
