Burlington, Ia- Burlington Riverfront Entertainment has announced that following this year’s Lighted Holiday Parade in downtown Burlington on November 30th, attendees are invited to the first annual Lighting of the Christmas Tree ceremony.
The tree will stand at 25 feet tall and will stand directly in front of the Burlington Memorial Auditorium and will be visible from Jefferson Street and the Great River Bridge.
Mayor Shane McCampbell will have the honors of lighting the tree and will be followed by live music by David Kroll.
Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to benefit various organizations that help families in need.
