Burlington, IA (Press Release) – One of the region’s favorite events, downtown Burlington’s 26th annual Lighted Holiday Parade will take place Saturday, November 30 at 5 PM.  Dozens of floats and entries will participate in this year’s parade, with the theme of “Jingle on Jefferson.” The parade will begin at Eighth and Jefferson and proceed east.

Immediately following the parade, the public is invited to the Memorial Auditorium parking lot for Burlington Riverfront Entertainment’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Lighted snowflakes will illuminate the riverfront, and David Kroll will perform. Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to benefit local organizations helping families in need. Hot beverages will be available.

The Lighted Holiday Parade is presented by Downtown Partners, Inc., an affiliate program of the Greater Burlington Partnership and a Main Street Iowa organization, and is sponsored by Pritchard Broadcasting. The mission of Downtown Partners is to preserve and revitalize downtown Burlington by enhancing it’s economy, infrastructure, and historical and cultural features.
