Quincy, Il (KHQA)- On December 4 at approximately 3:30 a.m., the Quincy Police Department, Adams County Ambulance Service, and the Adams County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a residence in the 700 Block of Cedar street in Quincy for a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, responding units located Quincy resident Emond Morris deceased from a gunshot wound.
The shooting suspect has been identified as Christopher Huckstep who was found in the 1200 block of North 12th Street.
A firearm was recovered upon his arrest. He has been charged with First Degree Murder. He is currently lodged in the Adams County Jail.
His first court appearance is scheduled for later this week.
