Man Escapes from behavioral Center due to Faulty Locking Mechanism

Quincy, Il (KHQA)-  A man who escaped from Blessing Behavior Center Sunday afternoon was arrested by the Hannibal Police Department Sunday night at 11:20 p.m.

According to a news release from the Quincy Police Department, 46-year-old Zachary D. Nokes was located at Hannibal Regional Hospital. He had been wanted on an Adams County warrant for intimidation and aggravated assault.

Nokes was taken into custody and taken to the Marion County Jail with a $500,000 bond.

Steve Felde with Blessing Health System says that Nokes was able to escape due to a locking mechanism failure.
