Cambridge, Il. (WHBF)-  According to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Illinois, kids in isolation are more at risk for abuse.

The Centers recently sent a letter to Governor Pritzker asking for financial aid in order to make sure they can be there for kids when they stay at home order is lifted.

Johanna Hager from Braveheart Children’s Advocacy center told TV station WHBF that once kids are back in schools, teachers should look for changes in their students that may be signs of abuse.

Due to COVID-19, the advocacy center has had to cancel its fundraisers scheduled for April, which is Child Abuse Awareness Month.
