George Marsden, 72, of Dallas City, IL lost his battle with cancer at 6:30a.m. Monday, July 14, 2014 at his home.  

George was born on May 16, 1942 in Dallas City the son of Paul and Thelma Burrell Marsden. He married Karen Mosley in Dallas City on Novemebr 15, 1963.  

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He later ran the Dental Lab for the University of Iowa. Continue Reading →

Dorothy Ann Bergren, age 85 of Mediapolis, died Saturday July 12, 2014 at the Great River Hospice House. The daughter of George and Fannie (Delzell) Mehaffy, she was born December 25, 1928 at Mediapolis. On June 13, 1953 she married Marcus Bergren at Kahoka, Missouri; he died October 19, 2008. She was a graduate of the Mediapolis High School. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mediapolis, and in earlier years enjoyed bowling. Continue Reading →

Edna Verlee Bush, age 93, formerly of Yarmouth, died Tuesday evening, July 8, 2014, at the Bickford Cottage in Burlington. Edna was born to John B. and Bessie Butler Vandemark on May 22, 1921 in Des Moines County. She married Roland Marshall Bush on February 20, 1943 at rural Mediapolis. He passed away on March 18, 2002. Mr. Charles “Gene” Cramberg, 86, of Dallas City, IL passed away at his home at 5:00 AM Monday, June 30, 2014. He was born on June 4, 1928 in Dallas City, the son of Elgy and Ruth Patterson Cramberg. On July 10, 1949 he married Joanne Claudine Bell in Colusa, IL.  

Gene attended the Dallas City High School and joined the U.S. Navy in 1949 where he worked at the U.S. Naval Hospital at Camp Lejeune, NC. Mr. Cramberg then worked at the IAAP near Middleton, IA for 27 years. Continue Reading →
