Roger Newbold, 78, of Burlington, died at 8:50 AM, Thursday, June 12, 2014, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.  

Born August 31, 1935, in Hillsboro, IA, he was the son of Robert and Gertrude Hixson Newbold. On June 13, 1954, he married Gayle Joan Moffett in Hillsboro.

Leila L. Lewis, age 81 of Stronghurst, Illinois died at 2:40 a.m. Monday June 9, 2014 at Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab Center in Stronghurst. She was born July 7, 1932 in Princeton, California, the daughter of John and Lorraine Head Hagle. On May 14, 1950, she married Earl Wesley “Wes” Lewis in Marysville, California. He preceded her in death on June 28, 2001.

The daughter of John and Mary Boden Frieden, she was born November 10, 1918 at New Boston, Illinois. On November 10, 1937 she married Roy L. Moyers at Hurdland, Missouri; he died November 25, 1996. Born October 3, 1929, in Des Moines County, she was the daughter of George W. and Alta Benkert Riemann. On March 3, 1949, she married Lloyd William Brown in Kingston. He died July 30, 1995.

was born January 23, 1926 at Luray, Missouri, a daughter of Archie James and Estelle Maude (Weaver) Hawkins. On April 18, 1944, she married Carmen Willis O’Day at Palymra, Missouri. He preceded her in death.
