Melbaline “Melba” Hostetter, 89, of West Burlington, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at her home.
Born February 15, 1925, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Chester L. and Effie M. Hanes Hills. On October 5, 1946, she married John David Hostetter in Burlington.
Melba worked at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, as a homemaker until her children were raised, and retired from Winegard in 1981 where she worked as an antenna assembler for 15 years.

Mr. Neal Louis Null, 77, passed away at 1:47 PM Saturday, November 8, 2014 at his life-long home in rural HireTownship, Colchester, IL. Neal was born on December 4, 1936, in Macomb, IL the eldest of 6 children of Lawrence and Clara Vollmer Null. In 1971 he married Linetta Little, together they had two daughters, Marcy and Megan Null. Matthew Daniel Smith died at his home in West Burlington, Iowa Wednesday, November 5, 2014. He was born June 7, 1967 in Los Angeles, California, the son of Keith Scott and Diane Hendrix Smith. Matthew married Jill Wilt in Los Vegas, Nevada; they were later divorced. He was an Industrial Plastics Engineer. Matthew loved music and enjoyed playing the drums, piano and guitar. He taught music and gave lessons at the Musician Pro Shop. He enjoyed watching the LA Dodgers and Rams football. Matthew liked golfing on 18 hole courses and on X -Box. The daughter of Rex Miller and Ruth Boley Miller, she was born on January 31, 1928 on their farm near Bonaparte. Margaret attended Franklin School from 1933 to 1941 and graduated from Bonaparte High School in 1946.
