Burlington, IA- The City of Burlington has announced that the fall leaf collection will begin on Monday, October 17th.
Burlington Solid Waste crews will be collecting leaves, lawn and garden waste, and twigs no larger than 1 inch in diameter. The collection will last for 7 weeks in the fall, and 3 weeks in the spring.
Materials must be in paper yard waste bags, not in plastic bags. The city will no longer collect from 33-gallon cans or the city-supplied garbage cans. The weight limit for yard waste is 40 pounds per bag.
The fall collection will last until December 9th.
