Timothy Edward Vorwerk, 55, of Burlington, died at 11:57 PM Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born July 4, 1959, in Burlington, he was the son of James E. and Mary Helen McIntire Vorwerk.
Tim worked at Hy-Vee on Agency.
He was a 1977 graduate of Burlington High School
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working on cars, his house, cleaning up leaves, and making people laugh.

Born April 29, 1957, in Kankakee, IL, he was the son of Thomas and Eleanor Smith Koopmans. On April 5, 1986, he married Teresa Lea Rose in Oquawka, IL.

Edwin Earl Minard, 88, of Burlington, died Monday, July 21, 2014, at his home in Burlington, Iowa. Born on June 19, 1926, in Burlington, Iowa, he was the youngest child of Edward C. Minard and Hazel Anna Agnes Sattler. He married Charlotte “Gwen” Pettigrew on October 23, 1950, in Corinth, Mississippi. Gwen passed away January 8, 2011. Helen “Pat” (nee Barbre) Lodwick died on July 16, 2014 at age 92. She was born on June 26, 1922 in BaltimoreMD, the daughter of the late Clarence and Helen (nee Wescott) Barbre and the sister of the late Robert W. Barbre. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Seeley G. Lodwick. Pat is survived by her daughters Barbara (Edwin) Rossow, Margery (Jerry) Tuttle, and Helen (Gary) Gerber. Mr. Thomas E. Teesdale, Jr., 62, of West Branch, IA passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 at 12:10 PM in Emmetsburg, Iowa after beginning his second day of riding in RAGBRAI. He was born March 14, 1952 in LaHarpe, IL the son of Thomas E. and Norma Duhs Teesdale Sr. In 1980 he married Cathy Jo Dunker. Merle Hasenclever, 95 years, of Denmark, Iowa died at 8:45 p.m.Saturday July, 19, 2014 at The Madison, Fort Madison, Iowa. Merle Hasenclever was born on May 17, 1919 to Francis and Mary (Grossman) Hasenclever near New London, Iowa. On October 8, 1944 he married Betsey Anne Timpe. He graduated from DenmarkAcademyHigh School and attended IowaStateUniversity. He spent the important years of his life on the family farm near Denmark, managing it for over 50 years. His life long interest was agriculture, and he always had an active interest in the Lee County Extension Service and Lee County Farm Bureau. He was a member of the Penn City Singers and Lions Club. He served on the LeeCounty zoning commission, was a school board member for the DenmarkSchool, and was a life long member of Denmark Congregational United Church of Christ where he was the oldest living Deacon, and also served as a Trustee, Sunday School teacher and choir member. He is survived by his wife, Betsey and three daughters: Frances Smith of Houston, Texas; Miriam Hasenclever of Columbia, Missouri; Rebecca Hasenclever Saice (husband Dan) of Waterloo; three grandchildren: Miriam (husband Jeff) Mueller of Portland, Oregon; Jeremy Smith of Seattle, Washington; Chelsea Hasenclever of Columbia, Missouri; and one great-grandchild: Eleanor Mueller of Portland, Oregon and nieces and nephews. Born January 29, 1925, in Winfield, IA, she was the daughter of Merle F. and Dorothy Opal McCandless Heldt. Survivors include son, Terry (Roberta) Barngrover of Burlington; one daughter, Virginia Thompson of Albuquerque, NM; three grandchildren, Jason (Renee) Barngrover of Des Moines, Ryan (Stephanie) Barngrover of Burlington, and Wendee Thompson of Albuquerque, NM; and two great-grandchildren, Miya Barngrover and Mason Barngrover both of Burlington.
