Mona Mary Dwight, 91, of Burlington, died at 7:55 PM Monday, October 27, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born September 14, 1923, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Albert Frederick and Clara Alvina Jackson Gerdom. She married John R. Dwight on February 14, 1946, in Burlington. They later divorced. Mona worked at National Research Bureau and Schramms.

Born January 20, 1934, in Fairfax, MO, she was the daughter of John and Madge McMahon Carter. On December 27, 1959, she married Merle Orville Robberts at Fairfax Baptist Church in Fairfax, MO. Betty Jean Stevenson, 94, of Oquawka, Illinois died at 11:00 a.m. Sunday October 19, 2014 at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, Iowa. She was born January 4, 1920 near Blandinsville, Illinois, the daughter of Willis and Reva Mustain Adams. On August 1, 1933, she married William F. “Bill” Stevenson in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 12, 2010. Mrs. Stevenson was a graduate of Stronghurst High School. Born April 30, 1933, at his parent’s farm house on Cliff Road in Burlington, IA, he was the son of Arnold Henry Sr. and Carrie Cecelia Riepe Wiemann. On October 25, 1952, he married Janet Elaine Kapotas in Burlington, Iowa. He was a 1952 graduate of Burlington High School where he was a member of the track relay team during his senior year.
