Beloit Beats Bees Behind Mathews

The Burlington Bees lost to Ryan Mathews and the Beloit Snappers 5-3 last night at Pohlman Field. Mathews…the Snappers’ left-fielder…drove in all five of Beloit’s runs.   The two teams will play again tonight and you can hear the action on KBUR, beginning with Michael Broskowski’s pre-game show at 6:40.

Bees Win; Head to Beloit

The Burlington Bees edged the Peoria Chiefs 2-1 yesterday at Dozer Park. The Bees are idle today, but continue their road trip tomorrow, with a 3-game series at Beloit. They’ll be back in Burlington Friday, to start a 4-game homestand against Peoria. You can hear all the action on KBUR.

Bees Beat Lumber Kings, Series Final Tonight

The Burlington Bees beat the Clinton Lumber Kings 5-4 last night, on a 9th inning double by Ismael Dionicio. The Bees up their record to 8-5 in the second half of the season and 46-36 overall.   They’ll wrap up their homestand with Clinton tonight at 6:30 and you can hear the game on KBUR.

Bees Crown Kings; Home Stand Continues

The Burlington Bees won their 7th game in the last 8 tries, last night – a 7-5 victory over the Clinton Lumber Kings at Community Field.  

Burlington is now 7 & 5 in the second half of the season, 45 & 36 overall.   The Bees and Kings will play again tonight at 6:30 and you can hear all the action on KBUR.

Bees Win; Back Home Tonight

The Burlington Bees wrapped up their road trip to Wisconsin yesterday with a 4-3 win over the Timber Rattlers. Tonight, the Bees begin a 3-game home series against the Clinton Lumber Kings at Community Field and game time is 6:30, with Michael Broskowski’s pre-game show on KBUR starting at 6:10.

The Burlington Bees lost Saturday night, but came back yesterday afternoon to beat the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 5-3 at Fox Cities Stadium. The teams will wrap up their series today at noon and the Bees will then return to Community Field to begin a three-game homestand against the Clinton Lumber Kings on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights.   

On the local high school baseball schedule today (* = b-ball/s-ball doubleheader), weather permitting…

Bees Sting Snappers Again

The Burlington Bees beat Beloit again last night 7-3, to complete a three-game sweep of the Snappers. The Bees are now 3-4 for the second half of the season and 41-35 overall.   They head to Appleton, Wisconsin to face the Timber Rattlers tonight at 7 and you can hear the game on KBUR.
