.PERIODS OF MODERATE SNOW WILL PERSIST THROUGH THIS MORNING AND
COULD BE BRIEFLY HEAVY AT TIMES. SO FAR THE SNOW HAS BEEN VERY
WET BUT WILL TRANSITION TO A MORE POWDERY SNOW THROUGH THE
MORNING. THE SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON AND INTO
THIS EVENING BUT THE INTENSITY WILL DECREASE. STRONG NORTHEAST
WINDS WILL DEVELOP LATE THIS MORNING AND EARLY THIS AFTERNOON...
CAUSING CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING.

EVENING...

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...STORM TOTALS OF 6 TO 9 INCHES. HIGHEST
AMOUNTS NEAR THE HIGHWAY 34 CORRIDOR.
* WINDS...NORTHEAST WINDS 20 TO 25 MPH...GUSTS BETWEEN 30-35 MPH.
* VISIBILITIES...BELOW 1/2 MILE AT TIMES.
* IMPACTS...THE WET SNOW HAS RESULTED IN VERY SLIPPERY ROADS.
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON...
CREATING DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS DUE TO REDUCED
VISIBILITIES... ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS. ROAD CREWS MAY HAVE
DIFFICULTY CLEARING THE WET SNOW THIS MORNING AND THEN KEEPING
UP WITH THE DRIFTING SNOW THROUGH THE EVENING. THE COMBINATION
OF THE WEIGHT OF THE SNOW ON ELEVATED SURFACES AND STRONG
WINDS COULD RESULT IN LOCALIZED POWER OUTAGES.
