Spring Snowstorm Gaining Strength, Heading East

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Spring is buried under winter in parts of the Midwest and the storm continues to move east.

The National Weather Service has issued storm warnings and advisories for as far east as Pennsylvania, and officials are blaming two deaths in separate crashes in Kansas and Missouri on snow-slicked roads.

The National Weather Service says the storm is expected to dump 6 to 10 inches of snow over central Indiana.

People in states as far west as Colorado are digging out.

The St. Louis area saw some of the highest totals, with as much as 14 inches in some areas by late Sunday.
