Branden Ashlee Behne, 32, of Burlington, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, as the result of a motorcycle accident near Mediapolis.
Born June 7, 1980, in Columbus, OH, she was the daughter of Raymond and Lori Blair Speakmon. On April 24, 2004, she married Seth T. Behne in Burlington.
Branden was a stay at home mom.
She graduated from the University of Phoenix and received her Master’s Degree from the University of the Rockies and was currently working on her doctorate degree.
She enjoyed cooking out, fishing, hunting, watching NASCAR, spending time on the river, mushroom hunting, walking her dog in the parks, and especially spending time with her children.
Survivors include her husband, Seth of Burlington; one daughter, Elexes Behne, and two sons, Sabastian Behne, and Rayden Behne all at home; father, Raymond Speakmon of Arlington, TX; mother, Lori Speakmon of Columbus, OH; three brothers, Ray W. Speakmon of Blacklick, OH, Mike Speakmon of OK, and Ben Speakmon of CA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents.
As per her request, cremation has been entrusted to Thielen Crematory.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
A memorial has been established for her children’s education.

Dixie L. Johnson, 92 of Macomb, Illinois, formerly of rural Stronghurst, died at 2:23 p.m.Saturday May 11, 2013 at WesleyVillage in Macomb. Arrangements are pending at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst.
Kathleen A. Anderson, 64, of West Burlington, died at 2:45 PM Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born December 9, 1948, in St. Paul, MN, she was the daughter of Norvald Martin and Dolores Elaine Enquist Anderson.
Kathleen was a homemaker.
She graduated from Washburn High School in Minneapolis, MN.
She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. She belonged to various ham radio organizations. She was a very avid ham radio operator helping others especially during Hurricane Katrina and enjoyed New Orleans. She enjoyed drawing.
Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Boulton of West Burlington, and Tanya Worley of Covington, TN; one son, William F. Styer, Jr. of West Burlington; her mother, Dolores Elaine Winget of Minneapolis, MN; two brothers, William Anderson of Woodbury, MN and Don (Mary) Anderson of Anoka, MN; one sister, Jannette (Paul) Walker of Bloomington, MN; nine grandchildren, Joel Polintan, Jr., Shaun Moore, Stephanie Moore, Zachary (Bria) Moore, Morgan (Kevin) Edwards, Dylon Dowdy, Jamie Worley, Caitlin Worley, J. Mitchell Worley; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Cremation has been entrusted to Thielen Crematory.
There will be a private memorial service at a later date.
