Authorities have released a few more details about the fatal car accident that took the life of 46-year-old Marc Buhmeyer of Burlington last Friday.
According to the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office, Buhmeyer was heading southeast on Y camp Road. Based on skid marks and impact marks, is appeared that the vehicle left the road on the right shoulder, began to skid sideways, the driver over corrected, and the vehicle did a 90 degree turn as it continued to slide sideways. The vehicle began to roll after it hit the guardrail. It came to rest on it’s top in the creek bed. Buhmeyer died at the scene.
It was a singe vehicle accident and Buhmeyer was the only person in the vehicle.
