As most have heard by now, The West Burlington School District is looking at the possibility of a balanced calendar, also known as year-round-schooling.
West Burlington Superintendent David Schmitt says there hasn’t been too much feedback about it yet, and a decision will not be made anytime soon to implement it…
“Probably next year about this time is when the board will be thinking about a decision if we’re going to go for the following year for a balanced calendar. So we’re about a year away before we really get into the nuts and bolts and make a decision.”
The next discussion of year-round-schooling for West Burlington will be at the School Board’s Work Session, December 2nd.
