Convicted arsonist David Good was sentenced yesterday by Judge Wright to 25 years in prison.
While awaiting sentencing, the 46-year-old Burlington man was also charged with raping a fellow inmate at the Des Moines County Jail.
Good was found guilty of setting fire to a home on Madison Avenue in Burlington, where his estranged wife and her son lived.
In another case involving domestic violence, Good’s then-lawyer had claimed his client suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as a result of his time overseas in operation Desert Storm.
