Many Illinois residents who are trying to get their concealed carry permits are finding out that their completion certificates are being rejected.
The reason this has happened, is due to students being improperly trained by their instructors.
As of right now, 13 instructors have been stripped of their concealed carry endorsements, which has affected 425 students who will now have to be retrained.
The instructors were giving students their certificates of completion without the minimum 16 hours of training Illinois requires.
