U-S Senator Joe Donnelly campaigned on behalf of Senate candidate Bruce Braley yesterday(Weds), stopping at the Des Moines County Democratic headquarters in Burlington.
The Indiana Democrat told an audience of about two dozen of the party faithful that this is when the real work begins, knocking on doors, making phone calls and asking potential voters what concerns them.
Donnelly says all Braley has to do to combat all the “attack” ads on TV is to be himself — an honest, hardworking, family man with a lot of Iowa common sense.
