Burlington School District Approves New Culinary Classroom

The Burlington School Board approved plans for a new culinary classroom during its Monday night meeting.

Bids are expected to open on the project on April 2nd. The classroom will take the place of the schools old auto shop and is expected to cost around $670,000.

The school attempted to complete the project last year, but bids came in over budget. Thanks to a number of generous donations, the school board can now afford the project without having to levy any additional sales taxes.

The board hopes to have the classroom ready by next school year.
