Burlington Barber Sentenced to Federal Prison in Cocaine Conspiracy Case

A Burlington barber will spend the next six years behind bars after being convicted of conspiring to distribute cocaine.

31 year old John Eric Fenton was sentenced last week in federal court in Davenport. He owns People’s Choice Barber and Beauty Shop on Central Avenue.

Court records indicate he pled guilty last fall as part of a plea deal. Several other charges were dropped as a result.

He was arrested following an investigation by local, state, and federal law enforcement into local cocaine trafficking. Fenton was involved in trafficking between 2005 and 2012.
