The Burlington High School Soccer team got another shutout at home with a 2-0 win over Davenport West in class 3A substate quarterfinal action. Notre Dame-West Burlington over Highland 11-3 in Class 1A substate. Holy Trinity also won their substate game over Cedar Valley Christian, 6-1.
In prep baseball action, the season has finally kicked off in Iowa as West Burlington clobbered Columbus 24-0. Wapello over Danville 4-0. Mercer County over Illini West 9-2. In softball, West Burlington-Notre Dame over Columbus 12-0. Central Lee over Winfield-Mount Union 1-0. Wapello over Danville 7-6. Mediapolis fell to Louisa-Muscatine 15-0. Illini West over Beardstown 8-7.
