Online advertisements led to the arrest of two Burlington teenagers on Prostitution charges Friday.
The Ottumwa Courier reports that 19-year-old Mynisha Danyel-Shawna Pearson, and 18-year-old Alivia Skye Barker were arrested Friday, after Ottumwa Police saw online ads that they say were soliciting sex for money.
Police responded to the ads, and the duo were arrested after driving to Ottumwa and attempting to meet with an undercover officer. They are both charged with Prostitution, which is an aggravated misdemeanor. Both Pearson, and Barker have since been released on bond from the Wapello County jail.
The Ottumwa Police Department was assisted by the Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Drug Task Force in this investigation.
