The Burlington Bees are done for the year. They finished off the 2017 season with a 1-0 loss to the Clinton LumberKings yesterday afternoon at Community Field. The Bees will open the 2018 season at home against the Peoria Chiefs on April 5th.
Carlos Martinez threw a three-hitter and struck out 10, Yadier Molina hit a two-run single and the St. Louis Cardinals beat the San Diego Padres 2-0 Monday for their fourth victory in five games. Jake Arrieta left the game with a leg injury in the third inning as the Chicago Cubs fell to Pittsburgh 12-0. The Kansas City Royals hit three homers and got two spectacular defensive plays in a 7-6 victory over the Detroit Tigers.
