Lee County Narcotics Task Force Arrests Three Keokuk Residents

The Lee County Narcotics Task Force has arrested several Keokuk residents on drug charges over the past week.

Assistant Chief Jay Whitaker says 30-year-old Ashley Reed were arrested at a North 11th Street house Sunday. Reed is facing felony charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver more than 5 Grams of Methamphetamine and a drug tax stamp violation. She also faces misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance and maintaining a drug house. Reed could face up to 34-years in prison if convicted of the charges.

A second resident of the home, 26-year-old Michael McNitt was also charged with maintaining a drug house following the investigation into alleged drug activity at the house.

In an unrelated case authorities say that 26-year-old Dustin Rogers was arrested last week on felony charges of Delivery of Methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a park. If convicted he could receive up to 15-years in prison.
