Dallas Mavericks Acquire Center Chinanu Onuaku From Houston Rockets

The Dallas Mavericks have acquired Chinanu Onuaku and cash in a deal with the Houston Rockets. In exchange, the Rockets are receiving a 2020 second round pick, which makes room for the Rockets to sign Carmelo Anthony. Onuaku appeared in just one game for Houston last season. In his two seasons in the NBA, the 6-foot-10 Onuaku has appeared in just six games, spending the majority of his time with Houston’s G League affiliate the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. While there he’s played a total of 83 games, averaging 12.3 points, 10 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.4 blocks. Onuaku has also played for the Rockets in Summer League the last three years.
