Ryan Junker
The Burlington Police Department took 35 year old Ryan Junker into custody at 10:35 yesterday (Thursday) morning on a charge of 3rd degree burglary.
According to the criminal complaint, in May of 2017, officers responded to a report of a house broken into on Wightman street in Burlington. The victim reported several items missing including a PS-4 and two televisions. Some of the items were recovered near the residence some time later. Officers also found a bottle of Jim Beam whiskey that had been removed from the cupboard by the suspects. Officers were able to lift fingerprints from the bottle that were identified as those of Junker and a female suspect Amanda Eleazer, by a crime lab.
On August 18th, in an interview with police, Junker said he did not remember the burglary but would take the blame and plead guilty to the charge. Junker told police that at the time of the incident, he and Eleazer were in a relationship and she had become pregnant. The criminal complaint says that in June of this year, police received a report of Junker allegedly becoming physical with her.
Junker was held on a $5000 bond at the Des Moines County Jail.
