A man that had been on the run for twenty years for a stabbing has been served two warrants for assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. Dawarn Moncrief was taken into custody on August 31st by the Burlington Police Department during a vehicle stop. He allegedly gave authorities the wrong name but was identified by officers and arrested for drug-related charges. He was held at the Des Moines County Jail on $5000 bond.

Shelby Delgado
The Burlington Police Department arrested 27-year-old Shelby Delgado on a warrant from August 23rd on the charge of forgery. She was transported to the Des Moines County Jail on held on $2000 bond.

Darren Stokes
56-year-old Darren Stokes was arrested following a traffic stop by the Burlington Police Department. Stokes was found in possession of marijuana and charged with a controlled substance violation and for driving under suspension. He was taken to the Des Moines County Jail on a $1000 bond.

Amanda Eleazer
Following an investigation, the Burlington Police Department obtained a warrant for 30-year-old Amanda Eleazer on a charge of third-degree theft. She was taken into custody by the BPD on the warrant at 3 AM this (Thursday) morning and held on a $2000 bond.

Mariah Wynn
Mariah Wynn was arrested by the Burlington Police Department for an out of county warrant. According to court records she is accused of second-degree criminal mischief and third-degree theft. The 27-year-old was taken to the Des Moines County Jail and held on a $5000 bond.
