Jessica Bowers
28-year-old Jessica Bower was taken into custody by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Saturday after being arrested in Ottumwa for a violation of her probation. According to court documents, Bowers was found guilty of first-degree-harassment and sentenced to 2-year probation in August of 2017. In October of 2017, she took a plea deal for a violation of her probation and received a 45-day jail sentence. The warrant was issued on the 20th for the current alleged violation. She is being held at the Lee County Correctional Facility on a $2000 bond.
Jeffery Burchett
The Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Jeffery Burchett on Sunday for a second offense charge of OWI and for speeding. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and later released on his own recognizance pending a court appearance. Burchett is facing up to years in jail if he is found guilty of the charge.
