An argument over a messy house apparently led to a domestic altercation and a threat with a knife.
Burlington police arrested 41-year-old Kimberly Lutz on domestic assault charges early on Tuesday morning. Court records show that police were called to a residence on South 8th Street for a domestic disturbance. When they arrived they found Lutz holding a pink kitchen knife.
A man involved told police the two had been arguing when Lutz returned to the room with a knife and threatened him. The criminal complaint states that Lutz was erratic and officers couldn’t get a clear story from her. She was taken to the Des Moines County jail where she is being held on $1K bond.
