Terry Loots, 69, of Burlington, formerly of Danville, died Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at his home in Burlington. Services are pending at Elliott Chapel, New London.

Gary Leo Griffin, 72, of New London, died Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at his home.
The memorial service for Mr. Griffin will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday, November 18th at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Dean Graber officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until the time of the service. According to his wishes, his body has been cremated.

Lola Jean Stamper, 84, of Mediapolis, formerly of Oakville, died at 1:50 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Prairie Ridge Care Center in Mediapolis, Iowa.
Born April 4, 1935 in Muldraugh, KY, she was the daughter of Martin and Lola (West) Metcalf. She married Howard R. Stamper April 18, 1954 in Burlington, IA. He died May 20, 2006.
Lola graduated from Burlington High School in 1953 and Southeastern Community College with her Practical Nursing certificate.
During her senior year of high school she worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone. She later worked for Sylvania, then as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Mediapolis, Wapello, and retired from Parkview Care Center. After retirement she drove the patient shuttle for Prairie Ridge Care Center.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She enjoyed camping, country music, playing cards, especially “Rummy” and being with friends.
Survivors include nine children, Doug Stamper of Scotts Bluff, NE, Dave Stamper of Burlington, IA, Curt Stamper and Ken Stamper, both of Mediapolis, IA, Jesse Stamper of Gerling, NE, Rebecca Stamper of Burlington, Nancy Hand, of West Burlington, IA, Annette Stamper of Gering, NE, and Cathy Gorman of Oskaloosa, IA; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; five siblings, Helen Russell of Mediapolis, IA, Larry Metcalf of Marshalltown, IA, Jerry Metcalf of Soledotna, AK, Lysle Melcalf of Anchorage, AK, and Sue Harger of White House, TN; and four sisters-in-law, Kathryn Metcalf and Carol Metcalf, both of Burlington, Georgie Metcalf of Monmouth, IL, and Edna Metcalf of MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Scott Alan Stamper; and nine brothers and sisters.
The memorial service for Mrs. Stamper will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 15th at Lunning Chapel. Rev. Wally Reynolds will officiate. Inurnment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be 1:00 until the time of service.
