Clark County, Mo(WGEM)- Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a fatal crash on Sunday afternoon in Clark County.
Troopers said 78-year-old Donald Verkruyse, of Farmington, Iowa was traveling on Route 5 near Missouri 81 when he drove off the right side of the road, hit a fence, overturned, and was ejected from the vehicle.
He was taken to the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City where he later died of his injuries Sunday night.
The crash report said Verkruyse was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
