Fort Madison, Ia (WGEM)- Schools in Fort Madison could be one step closer to what district officials are calling badly needed facility upgrades.
The school board voted to put a voted facility improvement levy on a March 3rd special ballot at their meeting Monday night.
District officials said they’ll need every cent to combat the challenges they’re facing.
Officials said this comes after a report. detailing a number of problems at both the district’s two one-hundred-year-old middle schools.
The board voted unanimously to put the $1.34 facility improvement levy on a special March 3 ballot.
