Four individuals arrested for sexual assault in Macomb

Macomb, Il (KHQA)-   The Macomb Police Department announced Monday the arrest of four individuals in connection with a sexual assault of an 18-year-old female.

Arrested were Jameel Hughes, from South Holland, Illinois, Eric Robinson, from Galesburg, Illinois, Mark Massey, from Galesburg, and Matthew Massey, from Galesburg.

On Saturday at 3:56 a.m., Macomb Police Officers were dispatched to Eisenhower Tower Apartments on 322 W Piper Street in Macomb for an 18-year-old female that was sexually assaulted by several males.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim. She was transported to McDonough District Hospital.

Officers located a vehicle leaving the area upon arrival and conducted a traffic stop at Derry Lane and Grant Street.

Officers determined that the vehicle’s occupants, Hughes, Robinson, and Matthew Massey, were subjects involved in the assault. All three subjects were also in possession of cocaine.

MPD later located Mark Massey at an apartment at Eisenhower Towers. He was wanted on a Knox County warrant. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail awaiting a $100,000 bond.

Hughes was charged with possession of a controlled substance

Robinson was charged with criminal sexual assault and possession of a controlled substance

Matthew Massey was charged with battery and possession of a controlled substance.
