Washington, D.C. – Congressman Dave Loebsack announced today that the Ft. Madison Municipal Airport will receive a $300,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant program. This funding will be used to reconstruct the existing Runway 17/35 lighting system that has reached the end of its useful life and requires reconstruction to meet FAA standards.
Loebsack stated in a press release that “Municipal airports, including the one in Ft. Madison, play a critical role in fueling economic development throughout the region, allowing the community to continue to grow,”
