Burlington, Ia- Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Burlington Riverfront Entertainment as decided to cancel the 2020 edition of Steamboat Days.
By a unanimous vote, the planning committee and Burlington Riverfront Entertainment Board of Directors agreed to call off the event after discussions with local city officials.
Burlington Steamboat Days President Doug Ervine said that, while difficult, it was the right thing to do.
Ervine says that anyone who has purchased tickets can receive a refund by June 1st, 2020.
