Burlington, Ia- Starting Wednesday, April 15th the Flint River Trail from Starr’s Cave Nature Center to the Starr’s Cave Bridge will be closed for trail maintenance and silt removal. The trail is expected to reopen on Thursday, April 30th.
The spring flooding of 2019 left large amounts of sediment on and around the Flint River Trail that needs to be removed.
This project requires heavy equipment to travel on the trail, so this section will be closed to public use until it is completed.
