Burlington, Ia- At approximately 3:20 PM Sunday, the Burlington Fire Department responded to a call from a resident at 708 Spring Street concerning smoke coming from the basement of the home.
Fire crews arrived to find the flames coming from a basement clothes dryer and were able to extinguish it quickly.
The single-family home sustained smoke damage, but no one was injured. The home’s owner, Abby Ramirez was home at the time of the fire, she and her 3 cats were able to escape unharmed.
