Burlington, Ia- The Burlington Steamboat Senior Center will be getting a new roof, and the cost will be less than expected.
The project will be paid using sales tax funds, at a final cost of roughly $62,000.
The project will be taken up by Brockway Mechanical and Roofing Company. Brockway was the low bidder, with the second-lowest being from Blackhawk Roofing with their bid at over $100,000.
The new roof will have a warranty of 15 years. When work on the new roof will begin is unknown.
