Some Iowa businesses to reopen on Friday, bars next week

Des Moines, Ia- Governor Reynolds announced Wednesday that more Iowa businesses will be re-opening before Memorial Day weekend.

“Today I’m announcing that effective Friday,” Reynolds said, “Movie Theatres zoos, aquariums, museums, wedding venues can reopen with appropriate public health measures in place.”

Swimming pools will be able to open for laps and lessons, and the DNR is opening restrooms and showers at all of Iowa’s State parks. The governor says bars and other establishments that sell alcohol will be able to open next Thursday at limited capacity.
