Stanley Baldwin sentenced to 10 years in Breuer case

Burlington, Ia-  Stanley Baldwin of Burlington has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for his part in the death of Edward “Eddy” Breuer.

Baldwin was convicted of breaking Breuer’s hand prior to his death.  Two others, Markell Price and Majestic Malone were convicted of Second Degree Murder and Kidnapping back in August, and both were given 60 years in prison.

Rather than having a normal sentencing, due to the courts being closed because of the pandemic, Baldwin was sentenced through a written order from District Judge Mark Kruse.

Baldwin will be taken to the Iowa Medical and Classification Center in Coralville for COVID-19 screening before being sent to prison.
