Turn-out in Iowa’s 2020 Primaries sets all-time record

Des Moines, Ia-  Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate, says a record 487 thousand votes were submitted in the 2020 primary.

Pate said that everything went “really well” stating a sparse physical voting turnout was expected, but it was what they planned for.  Some counties even included Drive-thru voting options.

Precincts were also heavily consolidated due to the pandemic.
