Des Moines, Ia- The number of unemployment claims filed in Iowa between May 24th and May 30th saw a decline from the previous week’s totals.
Iowa Workforce Development reports that the number of initial unemployment claims filed between the 24th and the 30th was 6,920. That’s a drop of nearly 50% from the previous week.
Continuing weekly claims last week saw a decline of 13,000 from the previous week.
The Industry that saw the most claims was manufacturing, which saw 1,897 claims.
