Burlington, Ia- On Monday the Burlington City Council made a sale of one of two vacant lots on Shoquonquon Drive to a home building company for a total of $25,000.
The company now has a time frame of 12 months to begin construction in the lot, and 2 years to finish the project. If this is not done, the city will have to return the money.
One other plot of land is available for purchase on Shoquonquon Drive, as well as nine other vacant lots across Burlington. The council is set to sell a lot on Harrison street at a future meeting.
