Burlington, Ia- Burlington Notre Dame will be requiring students and staff to wear face coverings for their return to school.
The Notre Dame School Board voted unanimously on Tuesday to require either facemasks or face shields for all students and staff while inside school buildings or on busses unless individuals can maintain a distance of six feet or more from each other.
Pre-school and Kindergarten children are exempt from this policy while in the classroom but will need to wear them while in the hallways and while entering and exiting the building.
Masks will not be required during recess, and students and staff with medical exemptions should contact the administration with documentation from a medical professional.
